Dear Laura
Last week I called you regarding the Puerto Neuvo restaurant and whether you knew if it was open on Mondays. Although I knew my call was outside of the realm of real estate, I took a chance hoping that you were familiar with the restaurant and could help me before I made the trip from Los Angeles to Mexico. As it turned out, you didn’t know if the restaurant was open but graciously agreed to check and call me back. You did so, calling me back in less than five minutes. You were unable to ascertain whether the restaurant was open on Mondays but offered an alternative ---La Fonda. I am frequently spectacle when someone says a restaurant is great because people’s taste varies so widely, but having no other choice, I told my fiancée Juliette about our conversation and we launched our mini-road trip adventure! Woohoo! As it turns out, the Puerto Neuvo restaurant we frequent was indeed closed on Mondays but we had our second choice La Fonda still to explore. We drove further south into territory we had not formerly explored and located the LA Fonda restaurant just off the exit as you explained. With cautious optimism we approached the restaurant noticing few cars at the establishment; not a good sign we thought, but then again it was Monday. We entered the restaurant and found a great patio, a beautiful view of the ocean, and a warm and quaint inside area with candle-lit tables and two enchanting fireplaces. My fiancée, who is always chilled by the least breeze, snuggled up to the fireplace and experienced a bit of paradise. The ambience in the restaurant was great as you suggested and we had a great time. After eating we discovered the hotel and made a spontaneous decision to stay over night. We stayed in room number 21, which is reportedly the most requested room at the hotel. The room had a panoramic view of the chore line from the patio and a spectacular view of the ocean from every angle of the room, even the bathroom. The wood-burning sunken fireplace was uniquely warming, Juliette loved that, and the room had a rustic charm and a contemporary amenities. All-in-all, the Famous Mexico Trip was unpredictably inspirational and relaxing. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to respond to my unusual call and to share with us ---LA Fonda! |
