ROSARITO, MEXICO – A new World War themed movie is set to start rolling south of the border soon bringing much needed investments to Baja.
Mexican
actor Eduardo Verastegui announced Monday he is co-producing the film
“Little Boy”, which is scheduled to start rolling soon down in
Rosarito’s Fox Studios Baja, where the Titanic was also filmed 14 years
ago.
“Little
Boy” tells the story of a Southern California boy who dreams of
rescuing his father from the war; besides most of the action scenes
scheduled to be shot at the southern Rosarito studios, there are plans
to shoot aditional scenes at Baja's Wine Country, that is the Guadalupe
Valley and the Tijuana Cultural Center.
This
movie production, which includes actors Ben Chaplin and Emily Watson,
is expected to generate over a thousand temporary jobs south of the
border. Although the film has already began filming last June, it’s scheduled for release next year.
