Baja California in Mexico, located near San Felipe, will soon become the site of two new waterfront developments planned by Ad Valora. The company has revealed it will build a condominium property, as well as a hotel and casino property, along the Sea of Cortez.

Ad Valora will kick off its efforts with the development of Pelican Reef, a 157-acre project that will feature 992 condominiums. A project called Mexicarlo is also in the works. The property will encompass a five-star 350-room hotel, a 40,000-square-foot casino and retail space. Additionally, Mexicarlo will boast an 18-hole golf course, as well as a marina that will ultimately offer 100 slips. Ad Valora plans to break ground on both developments this October.

Fashionable areas in Mexico along the California border are hotspots for developers of a variety of projects these days. The Trump Organization and Irongate announced plans in April for the Spa Tower at Trump Ocean Resort Baja, in the City of Rosarito Beach. It will be North Baja's first luxury condo-hotel resort.
