Chicago, Illinois-based service center and metals processor Ryerson Inc. announced Wednesday that it has opened a new service center in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

Chicago, Illinois-based service center and metals processor Ryerson Inc. announced Wednesday that it has opened a new service center in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The facility will stock bars, tubing, sheets, coils and plates in carbon, aluminum and stainless steel. The service center also has cut-to-length, laser-fabrication and bar-cutting equipment. The Tijuana location will allow Ryerson to serve customers in the Tijuana region as well as the neighboring industrial areas of Mexicali, Ensenada, Tecate and Rosarito. Tijuana will also service border regions in the US and provides access to the Port of Ensenada. The Tijuana facility is Ryerson's second facility in Mexico. Ryerson has made a slew of announcements in the last month, including the opening of new service centers in Salt Lake City, Utah and Houston, Texas, as well as expansions to its Little Rock, Arkansas and Atlanta, Georgia facilities.
